Small town life

Beautiful spring day.  Ben and I slept in, worked our way through a stack of pancakes, and eventually ambled downtown to check out the Farmer's Market.  Ben decided to recreate his own market in chalk on the sidewalk around the fountain.  Here he is drawing some bread:

We hung out for awhile, chatted with friends, and then walked home at noon listening to a cascade of church bells.

I love the small town life. When we first moved here from California, we were a bit taken aback at how many times we ran into people we knew at the grocery store! It is wonderful now, as we walk in the village of Lakewood on a nice Spring day, or even through downtown Jamestown. It sounds like Ben had a lovely morning - sidewalk chalk is wonderful this time of year!
